Yousef Makki inquest: LIVE updates as new hearing into the fatal stabbing of teenager by his friend Joshua Molnar beginswhen he stabbed Yousef through the heart on Gorse Bank Road. Molnar said Yousef had pushed him and pulled a knife first - and went on to be acquitted of murder and manslaughter.
The Makki family fought for an inquest which was held in 2021. Giving evidence at that inquest, Molnar said he couldn't remember who pulled a knife first.Senior coroner Alison Mutch concluded after the original inquest that Yousef died of 'complications from a stab wound the precise circumstances of which cannot, on the balance of probabilities, be ascertained'.
