Zac Efron has been rushed to hospital after he was reportedly found unconscious in a swimming pool at a lavish villa in Ibiza, with two members of staff pulling him out of the water
Zac Efron, the 36 year old star of Iron Claw and High School Musical, was rushed to hospital on Friday 2 August following a swimming incident at a plush villa in Ibiza. According to TMZ, he was discovered in the pool by two villa staff members who pulled him out of the water. A spokesperson for the star stated that Zac was taken to hospital as a "precautionary measure."
They further clarified that it was a "minor" accident and that the actor has been "recovering just fine." He was discharged from the hospital on Saturday morning. Zac, who has been touring Europe recently, had previously suffered a horrific accident that resulted in a shattered jaw. In 2022, the Hollywood heartthrob opened up to Men's Health about how he shattered his jaw while running around his house in socks. He revealed that he slipped and hit the corner of a fountain before passing out, with his "chin bone" left "hanging off" his face, reports the Mirror. While recuperating from the injury, Zac's facial muscles became "really big", leading him to work with a physical therapist. He added: "The masseters just grew.
"My mom told me. I never really read the internet, so, I don't really care," Zac said, shrugging off the frenzy with a laugh. "It was funny. It sucks. I almost died, but we're good," he continued, giving fans a bit of a scare but assuring them he's okay now. The plastic surgery rumours began when the Baywatch hunk appeared with a seemingly different face in Bill Nye's Earth Day! The Musical special in 2021.
