The Broncos are ahead of the Seahawks in the draft order, and they’ve just traded for another quarterback named Wilson.
Zach Wilson is looking for a fresh start, and he is going to get one. After finding himself on the outside-looking-in with the New York Jets, he is now headed to the Denver Broncos in exchange for a late-round pick swap and some financial maneuvering, according to Tom Pelissero.
With this in mind, the Broncos may be indicating how they feel about the pro-readiness of Michael Penix, Jr. and/or Bo Nix. Even so, quarterback is probably not the Seahawks’ biggest need in round one. But a popular name that is hovering “Day Two” range is Spencer Rattler of the South Carolina Gamecocks.
