Donald Trump takes to the stage and declares victory
PRESIDENT Zelensky has rushed to pile praise on Donald Trump as he claimed victory in the US, but Vladimir Putin has remained silent.
Donald Trump took to the stage in Florida to celebrate his election as the 47th President of the United States.FIRE & FURYwrote on X "This is exactly the principle that can practically bring just peace in Ukraine closer. I am hopeful that we will put it into action together."We look forward to an era of a strong United States of America under President Trump’s decisive leadership."We are interested in developing mutually beneficial political and economic cooperation that will benefit both of our nations," he continued.
The MP said Trump's unpredictability could work in Ukraine's favour because the president-elect "doesn't want his own Afghanistan" like Biden's withdrawal near the start of his term. "I think that Donald Trump, who is a super winner, especially now after such a victory, he doesn't want to be a loser.The Ukrainian President also found himself in the middle of the attempt to impeach Trump when he was last in office.
