Zendaya just wore tennis balls as shoes on the Rome leg of the Challengers press tour.

Zendaya’s Challengers press tour is continuing – and so are her high-fashion serves. All month long, the actor has been using the red carpet as an opportunity to perfect method dressing: all of her sporty-chic outfits have nodded to the film’s tennis focus. This was certainly the case for her latest photocall in Rome today. The star wore a custom Loewe dress that featured a deep-V and a pleated miniskirt, which is very reminiscent of the outfits that tennis pros actually wear on the court.

Custom-designed by Loewe, Zendaya wore a pair of white pumps, featuring pin-thin heels puncturing a tennis ball. Talk about a smash hit – the cheeky shoes were the perfect whimsical touch for the look. It’s not the first time Loewe has delivered shoes with a sense of humour. Some of their past heels have featured nail polish bottles, make-up brushes, roses and even broken eggs.
