Zendaya suffered heat stroke while filming Dune: Part Two after purposefully limiting her water intake due to the distance to the bathroom and her restrictive costume. The 28-year-old actress revealed in an interview with W Magazine that she was concerned about having to remove her costume, which took at least 10 minutes, if she needed to use the bathroom. In the scorching heat of Jordan , Zendaya ended up calling her mother from the bathroom floor, feeling unwell.
She admitted that she didn't drink enough water, thinking she was being smart, but learned a valuable lesson. Zendaya's Dune 2 co-star, Austin Butler, previously shared that several people fainted from heat stroke during his first week filming the movie due to the extreme temperatures and conditions
