Zoe Ball, who is the BBC's highest-paid woman, has dramatically quit her BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show after six years at the helm – and she recently 'sold her Sussex home'
Popular Radio 2 host Zoe Ball has dramatically quit her Breakfast Show after six years. The star spoke to listeners on Tuesday, 19 November to say she was going to step back to "focus on family."
Zoe had been notably absent from her show earlier this year, leaving both fans and colleagues puzzled about the reason behind her hiatus. The 53 year old presenter, adored by listeners nationwide, went on hiatus with fellow DJs Scott Mills and Gaby Roslin stepping into her slot. Woody, Zoe's son, recently shed some light on the situation, sharing with a reporter, "My mum and I like to keep our private lives to ourselves but I will say I have stepped up and spent a lot more time with her recently as she has always been there when I've had tough times. I'm glad to see her smiling."
Zoe's move reportedly signifies a fresh chapter following her split from model beau Michael Reed last year. A source spilled to the Mail: "Zoe obviously got fed up with life in the country and wanted to move to somewhere a bit more lively."
