Virgin Media is dishing out free TVs in a 10-day limited-time deal. On Monday , the provider unveiled its latest offer where subscribers can obtain a free £250 LG Smart TV.
It's available to any shoppers who take out one of four Virgin TV and broadband bundles, each of which includes hundreds of channels, complimentary Netflix and the possibility to add Sky Sports and Cinema content. These are Virgin's Cinema, Sports, Cinema + Sports or Max Volt bundles. Upon securing the offer, subscribers can opt to receive a 43" LG Ultra HD smart TV valued at £249.99, or a £125 account credit, with the latter essentially delivering weeks of complimentary service.
Nevertheless, the clock is already running as subscribers must secure the offer by 11.59 pm on Wednesday, May 27. Each of Virgin's qualifying TV bundles includes more than 200 TV channels and a complimentary Netflix subscription, while the £44.99 Cinema package also includes full Sky Cinema access and 362Mbps fibre broadband. Football, Formula 1 and rugby enthusiasts may favour the £54.99 Sport package, which substitutes Sky Cinema with full Sky Sports content.
Subscribers can also merge both packages with the £64.99 Sport + Cinema package, which also increases the broadband speed to 512Mbps. Nevertheless, Virgin's premium option is the £76.99 Max Volt package, which includes more than 230 TV channels, featuring both Sky Cinema and Sky Sports, plus Netflix, 1,130Mbps broadband and an unlimited O2 SIM.

Instead, Virgin will handle this on their behalf, liaising directly with the previous supplier to complete the changeover, reports the Mirror. One thing worth noting is that Virgin's monthly charges will rise by £4 every April, so customers ought to bear this in mind before committing to one of the 24-month contracts. This comes as Sky launches a competing sale ahead of the World Cup, with its Glass smart TVs reduced to as little as £4.50 per month.
This reduced price applies to the slimmer model, the Sky Glass Air, while the more powerful Sky Glass Gen 2 now starts at £11 . Meanwhile, Amazon has revealed its rebranded Fire TV range, alongside a brand-new model, the Ember Artline, available at up to £320 off and designed to compete with Samsung's The Frame TV. Regarding Virgin Media, customers have left thousands of glowing reviews for the brand following sign-up for its TV and broadband packages.
Positive reviews heap particular praise on Virgin's 'blisteringly fast' broadband speeds and 'great value'. One person said: "What an excellent experience from initial ordering to installation. Speeds are blisteringly fast, and signals are strong throughout the house. The TV package we chose will do us nicely, its operation being slick and intuitive.
Excellent in all respects and great value for money.
" Another said: "From the outset, we have found our experience with Virgin to be perfect. When the engineers came out, they were both friendly and helpful and made the changeover as seamless as they possibly could.
" While largely satisfied, this customer docked a star from their review owing to registration difficulties. They said: "Overall, pretty smooth joining with the One Touch Switch process. There were some issues with the registration customer journey, with multiple emails telling me to sign up for a Virgin account before it was active, giving errors telling me my details couldn't be found.
" Meanwhile, another Virgin Media customer declared that making the switch was the 'best thing I've done'. They said: "Best thing I've done. Controls are easy to use, and I love voice control. I'm impressed with the number of channels, the speed of my broadband and best of all, the price. "
