According to a PSNI spokesperson, the driver, who was already wanted for recall to prison, initiated a dangerous pursuit, leading officers on a chase that began near Grosvenor Road and continued into the Whiterock area. The Auto Crime Team, supported by Roads Policing Interceptor officers, successfully contained the vehicle, even as the driver allegedly attempted to drive towards the officers in an effort to evade capture. The driver was apprehended and arrested for their return to prison, as well as several motoring offenses. Subsequent searches of the individual yielded a quantity of both Class A and Class C drugs, leading to further arrests. \During the process of transporting the initial suspect to custody, other members of the Auto Crime Team intercepted and arrested a drink driver in the Lower Falls Area. The driver's breath sample indicated a blood alcohol content exceeding double the legal limit for driving. Shortly after returning to patrol, the team received a report of a stolen vehicle in the Ballysillan area. The stolen car was subsequently located on the Castlereagh Road, and the suspect was identified and arrested. The vehicle has been recovered and will be returned to its rightful owner.
