A Travelsafe Support and Enforcement Officer was assaulted at Bolton Interchange, resulting in a head injury. Greater Manchester Police released CCTV footage of a woman they wish to speak with to assist their investigation.
Police are investigating after a Travelsafe officer was assaulted at a bus and rail interchange, GMP has said.
The force has issued a CCTV image of a woman they want to speak with in connection with the incident earlier this month at Bolton Interchange in the town centre. GMP said a member of Transport for Greater Manchester staff, a Travelsafe Support and Enforcement Officer, was 'struck to the head causing injury'. It happened at around 9pm on Tuesday, November 19.A GMP spokesperson said: "Enquiries are still ongoing with no arrests made at this time. They are keen to identify and speak with the woman pictured, as it is believed she can assist with the investigation.
"In this case, a member of staff has received wounds that thankfully didn't result in any serious injury afterwards, but was going about trying to do their job and assist. "Anyone who was present or has information which could assist are encouraged to contact us at the earliest opportunity on 101 or through our Live Chat function on our website, quoting log 3383 of 19/11/2024. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously using Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111." No further information has been revealed.
