ITV viewers can look forward to a new series of Breaking Dad, where Bradley Walsh and his son Barney embark on an adrenaline-filled Australian adventure. From bungee jumping to tasting giant oysters, the six-episode series promises thrills and challenges as Barney pushes his dad to the limit.
ITV viewers are in for a treat this week as a brand new series of Breaking Dad kicks off. In this series, people will see Bradley Walsh embark on an epic Australian adventure with his son Barney.
Throughout the six episodes, while they take in the vast wilderness and coastal thrills of down under, Bradley won't be having a relaxing time in the sun. His son has created a packed itinerary, full of adrenaline-rushing challenges all designed to push Bradley to the limit. In a sneak peek of what's to come, ITV viewers will see Bradley enjoying some seafood in a rather unconventional location.
While wearing a water-resistant bib-and-brace pair of trousers, with a navy suit underneath, Bradley speaks to a pair of Oyster Farmers who have a treat for him to try. Placing a whopping oyster on the table, Bradley commented: "Wow, that is amazing, isn't it?
" Finding out more information, he was told that it was a Pacific oyster, which used to be called the Japanese oyster. A voiceover informed people watching that this food was once considered a delicacy. As it was shucked, Bradley remarked: "Look at the size of that! No." Putting some lemon onto it, the ITV star took a small bite out of it before giving his verdict.
Pulling a face which looked less than impressed, he issued a brutal remark, commenting: "I'm not sure about that. It's an acquired taste, I'll have to be honest.
" Although it looks like this could be one of the easier tasks Barney has planned for his dad, the series will also see them bungee jump and take to the sky in a small plane. Speaking about the new series, Bradley said: "It's so good to be back on the road again with Barney. We really do have the best time, but I'm not quite sure what he has up his sleeve on this trip, which is slightly worrying.
"I was looking forward to a bit of sunshine and maybe a nice barbecue but knowing Barney, I'll be dodging great whites or jumping out of a plane before breakfast. " Meanwhile, son Barney expressed his excitement as he stated: "I'm excited to embark on this new adventure with my dad and get him to experience the incredible culture, local activities and landscapes of Australia.
"It's going to be an exciting and adrenaline-fuelled road trip with lots of fun and laughter. Australia is such an iconic destination with so much to offer - I can't wait to see us both get stuck in Down Under!
