No material impact on copper guidance, miner said

Teck Resources announced a maintenance shutdown at its Carmen de Andacollo operations in Chile due to a mechanical issue. The miner expects production to be interrupted for around one month to allow for repair of the SAG mill, and plans to mitigate the impact by rescheduling other planned maintenance to coincide with the shutdown.

"We do not expect a material production impact from the downtime, and our previously disclosed guidance for 2025 total annual copper production and 2025 annual copper production for CdA remains unchanged," the Vancouver-headquartered miner said.Meanwhile, Teck also announced a temporary outage of the shiploader at the Quebrada Blanca port facility, also in Chile. The company estimates that repairs will take around one month."Operations at the QB mine and plant continue as normal, and the operation has the capacity to ship via alternative ports," Teck said. "As a result, we do not expect a material sales impact from the outage and previously disclosed guidance for 2025 annual copper production for QB remains unchanged."Teck's copper production guidance for 2025 is 490,000-565,000t, of which 230,000-270,000t would hail from Quebrada Blanca and 45,000-55,000 from Carmen de Andacollo.
