A bargain hunter discovered a way to get four Chicken Selects at McDonald's for £4.98, saving 51p compared to the three-piece box, by ordering and customizing 'Wrap of the Day' items.

Millions of us love tucking into their burgers and fries, but they're also famous for their delicious chicken products, including McChicken Nuggets, various chicken burgers, and the tender Chicken Selects. And according to one bargain hunter on social media , you could save yourself some cash and get more food by swapping your usual Chicken Selects order for something a bit different.
Jordon Cox, known online as Britain's Coupon King, has claimed that instead of ordering the three Chicken Selects box when you next go to McDonald's, you could save yourself 51p and bag yourself an extra Chicken Select by making one change to how you order your food. Instead of ordering three Chicken Selects, which normally cost £5.49, Jordon encouraged people to order two of the 'wrap of the day' items, which cost £2.49 each.
When prompted to customise your order, remove absolutely everything from the wraps except for the chicken. The chicken they use in the wraps is the same as the Chicken Selects, and you get two pieces per wrap. So, by removing items like the wrap itself, the lettuce, and the sauce, you can get two boxes with nothing but two pieces of chicken in each, giving you a total of four Chicken Selects for just £4.98.
Explaining the hack, Jordon said: 'Ordering a 3 pack of Chicken Selects will set you back around £5.49. Absolutely not. No good. Instead - buy TWO wrap of the days, but remove EVERYTHING .
'Take out the lettuce, sauces, even the wrap itself - and you’ll be left with a box of 2 chicken selects, for the price of a wrap . Buying two of these gets you 4 chicken selects for £4.98!
' Commenters on the post were quick to point out that the hack is even better value if you just eat the wraps as they come. However, for those who aren't keen on wraps or just really fancy some breaded chicken, then the tip does offer you more food for a small saving – which is never a bad thing!
And if you don't want four pieces of chicken, you can order one wrap and follow the same steps, leaving you with two pieces of chicken for around half the price of the standard three-piece box. The money-saving news comes as McDonald's is gearing up to drop a new menu in the UK.
Among the new items on offer will be new breakfast delicacies like the Single or Double Sausage and Egg McMuffin with Frank's RedHot Ketchup, as well as the Breakfast Wrap with Frank's RedHot Ketchup. There will also be new drinks on offer, including Raspberry with Sprite Zero and Pineapple with Sprite Zero. And for those who want something for lunch or dinner, the Big Tasty and the Double Big Tasty are making a comeback.
To finish off their meal, McDonald's lovers can also enjoy the Biscoff McFlurry and Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry, which are returning to the menu. The new McDonald's menu launches on Monday, 27th April.
