Broadcaster Lewis Goodall shared on The Chris Moyles Show that he was conceived in Blackpool, jokingly attributing it to the Pleasure Beach. The discussion took place while promoting his new podcast about a Blackpool criminal and Bitcoin, showcasing his personal connection to the town.
Lewis Goodall has revealed that he was conceived in Blackpool - and joked that it happened 'on the Pleasure Beach '. The broadcaster and journalist made the revelation on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X on Friday morning during a rather more serious discussion about a high-profile crime that took place in the seaside town.
The former BBC Newsnight reporter joined the show to discuss his new Global Original podcast, Coining It!, which tells the true story of James Parker, a Blackpool criminal who stumbled across a Bitcoin glitch that made him millions. Whilst discussing the new venture, Lewis revealed his close personal connection to the iconic Lancashire holiday destination. When asked if he'd ever been to Blackpool, Goodall, 36, said: "I was conceived in Blackpool. On the Pleasure Beach so my father says. My mother has other ideas!"Goodall, best known as one of the co-hosts of The News Agents podcast, clarified the story, saying: "It was a B&B, yeah, on holiday." Moyles congratulated his guest on his links to Blackpool before they continued their discussion of Parker's barely-believable story.
