Henry Brookes returns to Middlesex after hamstring injury

Seamer Henry Brookes has ended his loan spell with Gloucestershire and returned to Middlesex due to a hamstring injury sustained during a match against Derbyshire. Brookes had played twice for Gloucestershire, taking one wicket and scoring a career-best 89. He will now miss upcoming fixtures against Kent and Northamptonshire for rehabilitation. Gloucestershire thanked Brookes for his contributions and wished him a speedy recovery.

Seamer Henry Brookes has cut short his loan spell with Gloucestershire and returned to Middlesex after suffering a hamstring injury.for five games but suffered an injury while bowling in Gloucestershire 's 10-wicket win over Derbyshire in Division Two last time out.

Brookes had played twice for Gloucestershire this season and is now unavailable for the County Championship fixtures at home to Kent and Northamptonshire, instead returning to his parent club for rehabilitation. He took one wicket in a defeat by Lancashire and also hit a career-best 89 from number nine in the first innings at Derby to help Gloucestershire to their first red-ball victory there since 2019.
