The Duchess gave birth to Cosima in London on Sunday. A spokesperson for the couple shared the happy news, stating, “The Duke and Duchess of Westminster are thrilled to announce the birth of their baby daughter. Both the duchess and Cosima are doing well.
The duke and duchess now look forward to spending this special time together as a family.” \Hugh Grosvenor, one of Britain’s largest landowners, holds a prominent position in the social scene. He is a close friend of both Prince William, the Prince of Wales, and Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex. Grosvenor is the godfather to Prince George and reportedly to Prince Archie as well. Prince William attended Hugh’s wedding to Olivia last year at Chester Cathedral, serving as an usher. Prince Harry, while he had previously agreed to not attend due to his ongoing estrangement from his brother, did send his well wishes. Princess Eugenie was also among the attendees, looking elegant in a green dress. \Hugh Grosvenor inherited his title and control of the prestigious Grosvenor Estate at the young age of 25 following the sudden death of his father in 2016 from a heart attack. He became an instant billionaire upon assuming control of the vast estate. His property company, Grosvenor Group, owns extensive landholdings in affluent areas such as Mayfair and Belgravia in London, as well as major developments like Liverpool’s One shopping centre. Grosvenor is known for his philanthropy, having donated £12.5 million to the UK’s COVID-19 relief effort in 2020, supporting initiatives such as NHS Charities Together and medical research and development.\Hugh and Olivia were introduced by mutual friends in London. They dated for two years before Hugh proposed to Olivia at Eaton Hall, the historic Grosvenor family estate outside of Chester, where Hugh grew up.
