The eagerly awaited Arc Cinema complex in Preston is nearing completion, set to open its doors on February 20th, 2025. Located in the heart of the city, near the Market Hall, the cinema promises a vibrant entertainment experience. The independent cinema group, known for its presence in various towns and cities across England and Ireland, is putting the finishing touches on the facility. Constructors are busy fitting out the cinema, preparing it for handover to Arc next week.
Following the handover, Arc will conduct a final blitz and staff training before the VIP launch night. The cinema is projected to create over 25 jobs and will feature Arc's signature Hypersense premium screen experience. The Arc Cinema team is excited about its city-center location, highlighting the accessibility and convenience it offers to the local community.The cinema is designed with accessibility in mind, boasting a lift from the ground floor, a Changing Places toilet, and subtitled screenings weekly. They are also experimenting with new technology that could potentially enable glasses for subtitles on a film-by-film basis. Free parking for cinema-goers is confirmed, with a three-hour time limit. While pricing details are yet to be finalized, Arc Cinema will follow its established model of a set price for standard screens and a higher rate for the Hypersense screens. The foyer area is being equipped, and the cinema will offer freshly roasted popcorn.
