Law Trucks research identifies the cheapest and most expensive places for petrol in Scotland, highlighting the varying impact of fuel costs on drivers.

Fuel prices are a significant concern for drivers across the UK, with costs reaching record highs in recent years. This steady rise at the pumps has put a considerable strain on household budgets and businesses. To help drivers navigate these escalating costs, Law Trucks conducted research to identify the cheapest and most expensive places for petrol in Scotland .

The study analyzed data from the Petrol Prices App, focusing on fuel stations within a five-mile radius of each area and recording the lowest prices possible. According to Law Trucks, Glasgow and Kilmarnock emerged as the most budget-friendly locations for petrol, with an average price of 130.9 pence per litre. Livingston and Aberdeen followed closely behind, averaging 131.7 pence per litre. Edinburgh rounded out the top five cheapest spots, with an average petrol price of 131.9 pence per litre. On the other end of the spectrum, Dunfermline took the crown as the most expensive place for petrol in Scotland, with an average price of 135.7 pence per litre. Perth and East Kilbride followed as the second priciest locations, averaging 134.7 pence per litre. Elgin in Moray and Inverness completed the top five most expensive destinations, with average petrol prices of 134.6 pence and 133.9 pence per litre respectively.
