A man has been arrested and charged after a woman was allegedly mowed down by motorbike in Aberdeen . Emergency services raced to the alleged incident on the Granite City 's Garthdee Drive at 4.45pm on Saturday, May 2.
Crews scrambled to the scene after receiving reports of a woman being struck by an off-road motorcycle. Paramedics attended and the woman, 29, was found injured. She was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment, where her current condition is unknown. The motorcycle involved allegedly fled the scene.
Police say they have since arrested and charged a 43-year-old man in connection. He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday, May 6. Footage previously reported by the Record appeared to show the woman walking in the residential area. She was then filmed lying on the ground on the street before a concerned passerby pushing a buggy rushed to her aid.
A statement from Police Scotland reads: 'A 43-year-old man has been and arrested and charged after a woman was struck by an off-road motorcycle in Aberdeen street. Around 4.45pm on Saturday, 2 May, 2026, we were called to a report of a crash involving the vehicle and a female pedestrian on Garthdee Drive.
'Emergency services attended and the 29-year-old woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment. The motorcycle had left the area. The man is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday, May 6.
