A poll of 2,000 UK adults has found that when it comes to waiting times, 10 minutes is the longest people are willing to spend in a supermarket queue before they becoming annoyed - take our quiz to find out how long you'd wait.

Britons have spoken up about their patience thresholds, specifying an eight-minute tolerance for being served at a pub and an 11-week maximum wait for surgery. According to a recent survey involving 2,000 adults, Brits will wait 10 minutes in a supermarket line before irritation sets in, while an eight-minute wait for a public toilet is deemed acceptable.

Concerning healthcare, Easton stated: "But for health matters, clearly, people would like to wait less than they do currently for GP or surgery appointments." However, when it comes to serious matters, such as medical emergencies or safety concerns, 36 per cent think cutting ahead is justifiable, while 35 per cent consider it acceptable for safety reasons. A notable number of Brits, 24 per cent to be exact, confess they lack patience - only one in six people view themselves as very patient individuals. But the frustration is palpable as 32 per cent report losing their temper during waits, often over trivial matters.

"Your health above all else is something you shouldn't have to wait for, particularly if you're in pain or concerned."
