It's always a brilliant occasion
and is filled with visitors and residents wanting to celebrate the region's vibrant Irish community. Many pubs play their part in the celebrations and there will beThis includes Irish dancers, bands and speeches on the Elaine Marren Memorial Stage from 11:30am until 4.30pm. However, unlike in previous years, there will not be a parade.
The streets used to be filled with crowds cheering for the parade, however this stopped in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the parade has not returned since. We have decided to look back in our archives and pick out 10 of our favourite photos that show how the city has celebrated St Patrick's Day over the years.
