Personal trainers from PureGym have designed a quick and effective workout that targets natural killer (NK) cells, improves lymphocyte circulation, and reduces inflammation, all key factors in fighting off illness. This no-equipment workout is perfect for busy schedules and can help you stay healthy all winter long.

Winter has well and truly arrived, bringing with it a wave of illnesses that can disrupt busy schedules and leave you feeling exhausted. Recent research has shown that just 15 minutes of moderate intensity exercise each day can give your immune system the boost it needs to fight off these illnesses.

While near-daily workouts of up to 60 minutes were previously shown to boost immunity, a study presented to the American Physiological Society in 2024 revealed that just 15 minutes of regular, moderate exercise is enough to significantly increase the levels of these immune cells in the bloodstream.

Each exercise should be performed for 40 seconds, followed by a 20-second rest. This should be repeated 2-3 times, reports Surrey Live.
