SAN DIEGO — Two people are dead, and a third person was taken to the hospital following a shooting in Point Loma Wednesday afternoon, according to San Diego Police .Police said the deadly shooting happened just before 4 p.m. in the 3600 block of Zola Street SDPD officials confirmed the two victims who died were a white female, possibly in her 60s, and a white male, possibly in his 30s. The third victim who was hospitalized was described as a white woman in her 80s.
Officers took a 60-year-old white male into custody. Police stated, 'The initial information indicates that this event is family related as the suspect is the son of the surviving victim, and it is believed they both live at the residence. The exact details of what happened and why remain under investigation.'San Diego Police said officers recovered what they believe was a shotgun near the front of the house.Several people in the area called police, including the shooter, police added.
