) - Officials with Austal USA say they will host a christening ceremony for the future USNS Point Loma on Saturday, August 10 at 10:00 AM.
Austal says EPF 15 is the second Flight II Expeditionary Fast Transport under construction at Austal USA with one more under contract. Officials say EPF Flight II provides a Role 2E medical capability which includes, among other capabilities, basic secondary health care built around primary surgery; intensive care unit; ward beds; and limited x-ray, laboratory and dental support.
