MANILA, Philippines — The National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council on Saturday reported a total of 20 deaths due to the continuous onslaught of rains caused by the combined effects of recent low-pressure areas, the northeast monsoon, and shear line.

Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Barmm, and more areas have been battered by rains from different weather systems since January 2, causing flooding and landslides.According to the agency’s latest situational report, the deaths reported in the following areas are:Northern Mindanao – Four deathsMeanwhile, eight people were injured and one was reported missing, said the NDRRMC.
