Drivers were clocked doing more than twice the legal speed limit
Speeding motorists were clocked on various roads in South Ribble and Preston on Wednesday while seatbelt, mobile phone and child restrains issues were also monitored. It comes after complaints to officers about speeding concerns and request for traffic calming measures.
On Hennel Lane, two out of 16 drivers were issues warning letters for going too fast while no speeding incidents were flagged on either Brindle Road or Brown Lane. "Out of a total of 168 vehicles, 32 were found to be speeding. Seatbelt, mobile phone and child restrains issues were also monitored.
