Some iPhone users have been left 'confused'
At around 12pm, Apple users in the county noticed an alert for 'severe high temperatures', a warning in place until 11.59pm on Friday, November 29. For some, this warning was then followed by and in tandem with another alert, for a very different kind of weather event.
On X, one user shared a screenshot of their alert, writing: "An odd “severe high temperatures” warning on my weather app today!" Another posted: "Confused. Severe weather warning, then high temperatures." On the weather app, looking at the weather alerts shows an explanation for the warnings. On the 'severe high temperatures warning' it statss this is a "significant threat to life or property" that is affecting North West England, South West Scotland, Lothian Borders, Wales and Yorkshire and the Humber.
