The Philippine National Police on Monday said four Chinese fugitives were among the persons rescued in a police raid in Las Piñas last week.
individuals who were rescued, it was discovered that four Chinese in the compound are fugitives from the law and wanted by Chinese authorities for engaging in criminal activities in China,” PNP public affairs chief Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan said. The raid took place on June 27 at a Philippine offshore gaming operator center in Las Piñas compound due to alleged human trafficking.
Maranan said the PNP would complete the necessary documentation before turning over the Chinese fugitives to Chinese Embassy officials for deportation. “Given these developments, it is imperative to conduct thorough profiling of Pogo employees in Las Piñas so that any wanted persons are prevented from working and hiding here in our country and ensure that all those working in the Pogo industry are not involved in criminal activities,” he said.
