Ibrox is expected to be out of action until September at least and that is causing palpable tension among their support.
Rangers have been busy in the transfer market in the off-season, but all the work done on the recruitment side of things has been overshadowed by the ongoing fiasco around the availability of Ibrox.
Ibrox's race against the clock On Thursday morning, images surfaced of the work being conducted at the stadium to try and get it back up and running by the end of August. A vast amount of scaffolding and other building materials are currently lying around the exterior of the Copeland Stand as workers continue their race against the clock to restore the old ground to its former strength.
New faces will have to wait to hear the Ibrox roar Clement has recruited five new players so far this summer, including returning loanee Oscar Cortes, who will join Rangers on a permanent basis from Lens next summer. While Cortes has already had a taste of Ibrox at it's electric best, the likes of Jefte and Clinton Nsiala are likely to have been partly persuaded by a move to Rangers by what the stadium has to offer.
