Six minors were charged with risking catastrophe and related offenses in connection with the bull release.
On the night of May 20, borough police said they found bulls on the railroad tracks behind New Holland Apartments on the 100 block of East Franklin Street and on the first block of South Custer Avenue, which intersects with Route 23, the borough’s main thoroughfare.
“The potential for destruction would have been unbelievable,” Kolb said. “Definitely a bullet dodged.”An investigating officer found surveillance video of youths releasing the bulls from the stables, which is the largest animal auction east of the Mississippi River and a hub of Lancaster County’s agriculture community.
