A yellow warning has been issued until Sunday morning as the Met Office predicts that Storm Darragh will have a huge impact on York shire and Humber areas this weekend.
Sheffield, Leeds , Bradford, York, Doncaster, Scarborough and Northallerton could see winds of up to 80mph as the Met office has issued a yellow warning as Storm Darragh arrives in the UK. The Met Office said: "Saturday will see spells of often heavy rain, with only brief drier interludes. All areas will become very windy, with gales developing inland, and severe gales along the coast. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
"Windy Sunday with outbreaks of rain, these easing overnight, and coastal gales, perhaps locally severe initially. Mostly dry Monday and Tuesday but cloudy, with winds gradually becoming light. Feeling colder.
