Four people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder
A grandad has described the dramatic moment he rushed to help a man who had been left for dead. Police were called to Alexander Street, Tyldesley following reports of a stabbing in the area on Friday .
"I drove down the road and saw something white. I couldn't make out what it was." Said the man who preferred to remain anonymous. "I could see had blood all over him and bruises on his face. I assumed he'd been stabbed, he wasn't able to speak but I wasn't trying to waste time by speaking to him, For everyone else, it was a morning of chaos to see a large-scale police investigation taking place on your doorstep. One resident who lived in Manchester Road said: "This is a busy road, so you don't expect it to be quiet. But not this."
