It's that awkward time of year weather-wise were you can either head outside to enjoy little moments of sunshine or stay indoors wrapped up from the cold. But for me, I think I've found the perfect day out with that chill and cosy feel to it where you can get the best of both worlds.
Getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, I took a midweek trip elsewhere on Merseyside to visit a small village known for its historic buildings, scenic walks, popular country pub and incredible five-star hotel. It's been years since I've spent a lot of time on Wirral, but taking the 247 from the Union Court bus stop, I headed to Frankby on an hour-long bus ride. Steeped in history, the area remains largely rural with its countryside views and local farms.
