LVMH’s über-hotel has arrived in the archipelago. The HTSI travel editor checks in
The Seychelles. You wake up here, in this archipelago set roughly halfway between Madagascar and the Maldives in the Indian Ocean, sit up from the abundance of featherdown and fine Egyptian cotton that swaddles your giant bed, and look out through the floor-to-ceiling glass panel that is your bedroom wall.
Anse Intendance is laughably picturesque. It’s public, like all beaches here, but access is sufficiently minimal, and rocky, that punters are relatively few. The entrance drive winds past an enormous lagoon. At its far end is a tiny, pretty Creole cottage, the only structure preserved from the previous resort; it now houses Mizumi, Cheval Blanc’s Japanese restaurant.
