NatureScot has granted Amey a licence to begin specialist structural testing and investigations after the discovery of bats delayed repairs to the bridge which was hit in March

The inside Perth-bound lane of the A90 at Glencarse could reopen by the end of the year after NatureScot granted Amey a licence to commence works.

Perth-bound traffic has been restricted to one lane and a 50mph speed limit after the flyover was struck by a digger on March 28, 2023 - the same day Scotland fans were travelling to Hampden to see a historic win over Spain. He added: "But NatureScot - who control this in Scotland - have now given them a licence to get onto the bridge and start taking it to bits to find out what the problem is and work out how to fix it."

"These works will help inform what will be required by way of a permanent repair to restore the integrity of the bridge and remove current traffic restrictions.
