The Dons netted a club record £6.8million transfer fee from La Liga outfit Girona
Alan Burrows says Aberdeen will reinvest every penny of Bojan Miovski ’s record transfer fee into the football department after he completed his £6.8million move to Girona.
Burrows said: “Bojan has been a magnificent No.9 for Aberdeen and although we are clearly sad to lose him, we’re also delighted that he has achieved such an exciting move. The deal is also a good one for the club and further strengthens the player trading strategy adopted and driven by Dave Cormack and the board over a number of seasons.
Aberdeen have already splashed out this summer on keeper Dimitar Mitov, midfielders Ante Palavers and Sivert Nilsen and Finnish forward Topi Niskenen. Burrows added: “Our focus remains on developing our own players through our academy whilst complementing that with smart recruitment from across the world.
