Thelin will scour the globe if he has to replace his star man
Jimmy Thelin insists Aberdeen can shine in the transfer market and are going global in search of a possible replacement for Bojan Miovski .
Espanyol are the latest club to express an interest in striker Miovski and it’s understood the La Liga club has made the North Macedonian one of their main targets this summer. Thelin claimed he has a back-up plan if the Reds talisman departs this summer. He said: “If something happens, we need to do the best with that and keep moving. Hopefully we’ll be prepared for everything.”
On the prospect of adding to the four signings already at Pittodrie this summer, Thelin said “You want to get the best players from these markets and that’s what we’re trying to do when making a plan for the future. There are good players all over the world, we need to prioritise some. We need to develop a direction in what we want to do. We need to get a pathway and be the best in some markets.
“Aberdeen already has a good net for contacts and utilises it well. We are trying to build for the long-term and won’t be rushing into things. “We will do things step-by-step and not stress too much. The players here are getting their opportunity and then maybe we’ll identify the areas we need to strengthen.”
