Six people were originally arrested when Ahmed Deen-Jah was killed but no-one was charged.

Two men have been rearrested on suspicion of murder in connection with a stabbing more than seven years ago.

Ahmed Deen-Jah, 24, was stabbed in the heart in what police said was an unprovoked attack in a convenience store in Custom House, east London, in April 2017.The arrested men, both 26, remain in police custody, the Metropolitan Police has said.CCTV footage released by police in 2017 showed a person they "wanted to speak to" in connection with the stabbing

Det Ch Insp Kelly Allen, who is leading the investigation, said officers were "determined to identify those responsible in order to place them before a court". CCTV released at the time showed Mr Deen-Jah being followed into a shop by a person wearing a balaclava and gloves, who chased him around before stabbing him.
