Aldi has announced it will open 23 new stores before the end of 2023, marking a record £800m annual investment programme
Aldi has unveiled its most significant annual investment package to date, aimed at accelerating its expansion. The supermarket chain plans to open 23 new stores before the year's end, including in Muswell Hill, London and Caterham, Surrey.
Currently boasting over 1,000 stores, Aldi has previously revealed plans to expand to 1,500 stores across the UK. The record investment announcement coincides with its latest annual results for the 12 months to December 2023, which showed a sales increase of £2.4bn to £17.9bn a 16% rise and its highest ever period of sales growth.The company reported a pre-tax profit increase to £536.
