Indian and Nigerian nationals filled more jobs in Britain between 2019 and 2023 than UK nationals, official figures have revealed.

Between December 2019 and December 2023, there were 241,600 fewer employments for EU nationals in the UK. The figures showed the 'extraordinary changes' since the introduction of Britain's new post-Brexit migration system in January 2021 Mr O'Brien acknowledged using data on employments by nationality was 'far from perfect' because it only covers employment and not those who aren't working or are self-employed.
