Aldi has issued a recall of its Let's Party Vegetable Bao Buns over fears it could spark serious allergic reactions.
Aldi has issued an urgent recall of its Let's Party Vegetable Bao Buns, following concerns that the product may cause serious allergic reactions due to undeclared sesame. The retailer warned that these bao buns, sold in packs of eight, might also contain unlisted duck meat, posing further health risks to those with allergies.
In a statement, Aldi said: "Our supplier is recalling Let's Party Vegetable Bao Buns due to an error meaning some products contain an undeclared allergen as well as duck meat which is not listed on the packaging. This may present a health risk to anyone with a sesame allergy." Customers with concerns can contact Aldi on 0800 042 0800 in the UK or use the company's webform, reports the Mirror.
Tesco has issued a warning to customers who have purchased a specific product, advising them not to consume it. Instead, they should return the item to any store for a full refund.
