Some things ALEA says they’ll be looking for are boating under the influence and proper safety equipment.
) -The 4th of July weekend is one of the biggest weekends of the year for ALEA due to the extra boat traffic from those vacationing on the coast. That’s why ALEA is taking a proactive approach leading up to the holiday.
But there were still a small number of stops made today for things like speeding in a wake zone and careless boating which can include things like someone riding on the side of the boat. Another thing ALEA says they’ll be looking for is boating under the influence and proper safety equipment. ALEA plans to increase these patrols everyday throughout the holiday weekend which is good news to those who enjoy the water.
