Alex Salmond will be laid to rest at a private family funeral on October 29th, it has been reported. The burial will take place in Strichen, Aberdeenshire, the village where he lived with his wife Moira.
The former SNP First Minister died suddenly in North Macedonia earlier this month after speaking at an event. His death from a heart attack stunned Scotland and his body was flown back to Aberdeen after billionaire Sir Tom Hunter paid to charter a plane.The Sunday Mail reported at the weekend that Salmond's successor, Nicola Sturgeon, would be banned from both events.
