It is understood Muhammad Shoaib, a former SNP and Labour councillor, was taken to hospital after the alleged incident in Victoria Road on Wednesday afternoon.
A Glasgow lawyer and former councillor has reportedly been attacked at his office.

ALBA stands for Scotland and the Scots Asian community are integral to our country.“We stand with Muhammad and his community now and always, and hope the police use all powers available to them in relation to this incident and in reassuring members of the community”.
