Alison Hammond has told fans 'guess who's back' as she revealed she's set to take on another job away from hosting This Morning for the second year running. The presenter has been confirmed to be returning to panto for the 2024 season in her beloved home city of Birmingham.
It comes after Alison spent the last festive season making her pantomime debut in Jack and the Beanstalk which at the time she said was 'a dream' and that her late mum, Maria, would have been 'thrilled' and 'so proud'. The original post, shared by the Birmingham Hippodrome, says: "The news is out babs. The Queen of Birmingham, Alison Hammond is returning to the Hippodrome this year as the Magical Mermaid. Alison will be starring alongside Hippodrome favourite @mattslackoffical in Peter Pan opening on Sat 21 Dec."
Instagram It comes after Alison revealed Jack and the Beanstalk had picked up an award earlier this week. Sharing the news of Instagram, Alison confirmed that the panto had been named 'Best Pantomime at The Pantomime Awards 2024. "We won!" the TV star cheered. "This is the best news ever," she added.
