Alison Hammond has been opening up on how Eamonn Holmes gave a special tribute to her late mum Maria at her funeral.
Alison Hammond has shared the sweet tribute Eamonn Holmes made to her mother following her tragic death in 2020.
Alison revealed that she invited Eamonn to the service because her mum was such a big fan of his before her passing. Alison said: "We gave her the most beautiful funeral. Even Eamonn Holmes came to that, actually." Alison and Dermot O'Leary took over from Eamonn and his wife Ruth Langsford as the Friday hosts of This Morning in 2021, and the beloved presenter admits that it was "difficult".
"I got a lot of flack doing that job because obviously, my friends were doing it beforehand, Eamonn and Ruth," she continued. Alison later added that the couple encouraged her to 'go for it' and take the opportunity.
