The National Television Awards host Joel Dommett has shared his support for Alison Hammond as he weighed in on Holly Willoughby award snub
Joel Dommett has backed This Morning's Alison Hammond as he commented on Holly Willoughby's award snub.
The star has previously appeared on the daytime show as a guest presenter alongside Holly Willoughby but has voiced his interest in taking over the permanent role. Reflecting on his time working with Holly, he said: "She was so good, I just learnt so much from her, she was so professional. There was an amazing moment where I didn't know what to make notes on, on my first day. I looked over at Holly and she's made all these script notes. She just puts the effort in even after this long, I genuinely learned a lot."
Joel shared ITV's backup plan, adding: "They say they've got a contingency but they won't tell me who it is." Joel explained: "That's what I'm thinking because you know it's live so there's breaks so I'm thinking I'm just going to keep my phone on me and just check during the breaks and then I can come back after a break and suddenly it's Craig Doyle."
