In a few short weeks Strictly Come Dancing will be returning to our screens with a new line up of contestants. The glitzy BBC dancing competition will be returning for its 21st season in September, and viewers are excited to see who will be taking to the stage.
Amanda Abbington Sherlock star Amanda Abbington has been confirmed as one of the celebrities to take part in this year's competition. Amanda is an actress who is best known for appearing in the Sherlock Holme series and in the TV show Mr Selfridge. However, some Strictly fans on social media have taken issue with the signing of Amanda for the show, with some appearing to take issue with a tweet from the actor in March.
Layton Williams Layton is a 28-year-old film and theatre actor who has performed title roles in Billy Elliot and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie. He is also well known for playing Stephen Carmichael in Jack Whitehall's BBC series Bad Education. However, some fans are sceptical about Layton taking part in a dance show due to his experience, whereas other contestants are complete novices.
