Speaking to The Sun, he shared: 'As far as All Creatures goes, we love making it and can't wait to go back out next year, and we'll see what the future holds.' All Creatures Great and Small also delivered an emotional punch with its Christmas special, leaving audiences overwhelmed. The poignant episode saw the inhabitants of Skeldale House grappling with the news that the HMS Repulse had collapsed under Japanese attack near Malaysia. Amongst the turmoil, the fate of Edward, Mrs Hall's son and a crew member on the Repulse, hung in the balance as the show revealed that nearly half of those aboard were lost. Mrs Hall frantically scanned the newspaper's casualty list, but Edward's name was nowhere to be found. Her anxiety was briefly alleviated when she received a letter from her son, however, as it was written prior to the attack, his fate still hung in the balance
