Five alerts in Lancashire and six in Cumbria are underway as Storm Ashley hits
Areas across Lancashire and Cumbria have been given flood alerts as Storm Ashley hits much of the country.
Highest tide level is expected to be at include Sandylands, Middleton, Sunderland, Bank Houses, Hillam, Sand Side and Cockerham Moss.at 1:45 PM on 20/10/2024. Flooding is possible two hours either side of this time. Further flooding is possible overnight due to higher than normal tide at 02:08 AM on 21 October, combined with south-southwesterly gale force eight winds and large offshore waves.Highest tide level is expected to be at include Aldcliffe Marsh, Heaton Marsh, Marsh, Greyhound Bridge, Skerton Bridge, Newton, Overton, Middleton, Glasson, Conder Green, Conder Bridge and Thurnham Moss at 1:45 PM on 20/10/2024. Flooding is possible two hours either side of this time.
Further flooding is possible overnight due to higher than normal tide at 02:08 AM on 21 October, combined with south-southwesterly gale force eight winds and large offshore waves.Flooding is expected on the Cumbrian coastline as Storm Ashley hits. Highest tide level is expected at 1:45 PM on 20/10/2024. Flooding is possible several hours either side of this time.
